If you're traveling from out of town for an eye appointment, it's important to plan ahead. Make sure you know the date and time of your appointment, as well as the location of our office. Ophthalmologist & Fellowship-Trained Retina Specialist

Dr. Shakir is a board-certified ophthalmologist with extensive expertise and an unwavering commitment to excellence. He excels in the specialized fields of cataract and vitreoretinal surgery. After receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree at Albany Medical College, Dr. Shakir completed an internship at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore as well as an elite residency at the University of Florida. Additionally, Dr. Shakir pursued a fellowship in vitreous and retina surgery at Yale University.

An alumnus of the University at Albany, SUNY and the State University of New York College of Optometry, Dr. Perdomo utilizes his wealth of experience and expertise in optical treatments to help clients at Coastal Eye enjoy clear vision and a higher quality of life. His career has enabled him to take on many exciting projects, including working on a project with the U.S. Department of Energy.
